Breathedge 2

Early Access visor

Breathedge 2 Early Access Wiki

Steam Early Access for Breathedge 2 opened on 31 August 2026 at 15:00 UTC. RedRuins Softworks built the sequel; HypeTrain Digital published it as app 2412960. This is not version 1.0. The studio currently expects roughly 16–20 months of Early Access. The US list price is $19.99 with a 20% launch discount to $15.99, called the lowest planned price. You play the Man — the Ordinary Man in the English short description — and you look after an immortal Chicken. The first chapter is The Outskirts: ice wreckage, a Cosmostation Terminal, orange gloves on a pipe. Out in open space you keep an eye on oxygen or the adventure ends prematurely. Temperature is listed with oxygen as a lethal detail. Store genres at capture are Survival, Adventure, Action, Simulation and Early Access. Single-player, Steam Achievements, full controller support, DualShock, DualSense, Steam Cloud and Family Sharing sit on the store categories list. There is no working first-party marketing site: breathedge.com failed TLS, and the HypeTrain Digital /breathedge-2/ URL 404s, so Steam is the official product surface.

O₂

Oxygen

The store copy is blunt: in open space the meter is a fail state, not flavor. The same sentence pairs temperature with it. That pairing is why this briefing puts both ticks on the visor glass instead of a marketing banner. You do not get a published numeric timer, tank size or freeze threshold from Steam, so treat both as lethal HUD details rather than as numbers to theorycraft.

Community write-ups name air stations, worm nests and Oxyworms as sources. Those names are not confirmed in first-party systems text. Oxyworms do appear as a Steam achievement collectable, which is why the oxygen page keeps the community names behind a disclosure instead of promoting them as official stations. Start by watching the visor, then scavenge with a plan to get back inside.

Honor Dojo and IGN hubs exist as editorial pages, not as systems dumps. This briefing stays on the Steam sentence and the visor still. If you need the community oxygen names, open the disclosure on the oxygen page instead of treating a third-party heading as a station id.

JUNK

Scavenge

Gather resources, dismantle machinery, pick up useful junk and useless treasures. Learn new blueprints, then craft tools and equipment, upgrade gear and the spacesuit. Duct tape is named in the short description as the recurring crafting joke, and the about-text still asks what to do with all this duct tape. Early Access also lists repairs beside crafting; crowbar-timing lives only in community walkthroughs.

The Jackhammer Upgrades UI on an official screenshot is the one tool with readable fields: 4 kg, charge 39/100, durability 100/100, extraction 5, level 1. That is a snapshot of the shipped interface, not a full recipe dump. Use it as proof that tools have mass, charge and extraction rather than as a complete crafting tree.

Useless treasures are listed next to useful junk, which is the joke economy. You are not farming a published rare-drop table. Dismantle machinery when the visor allows it, then get back inside before temperature or oxygen ends the run.

HOSTILE

Combat

Occasionally fight, run away, and shove aside less fortunate astronauts. Coffinbots are hostile. The Breathedge Corporation started a galaxy-wide war, built that army, and attacked the largest human settlements. After the Man and a spacesuit AI derailed a swift takeover, he became target number one. Steam then says the heroes are attacked by their own allies and leaves who-attacked-whom unanswered.

Do not expect a bestiary with hit points. The store frames combat as an occasional interruption of scavenging, not as the campaign spine. The Coffinbots page keeps the faction table; this home briefing only needs the visor takeaway: hostiles exist, flight is listed next to fighting, and the Corporation war is why the wreckage looks like a battlefield.

Less fortunate astronauts are store language for bodies you can shove, not a PvP mode. The live store lists only Single-player. A 2023 Q&A already said co-op is unlikely at main-game release because the story is built around specific characters.

What the visor is looking at

Official RedRuins trailer copy and the soundtrack title the opening region The Outskirts. A one-minute clip is labeled Location: Depot; no public map coordinates were published. Babe is named in the Steam about-text as an open identity question. A 2023 Q&A said Babe will have a voice as an early team member. The Mechanic appears in an official character trailer as a foul-mouthed customisable robot.

A free Next Fest 2025 demo existed as app 3499150. The 3 April 2026 news post says the studio threw it out and rebuilt from scratch; almost nothing from the demo is staying. The demo appdetails endpoint now returns success=false. Do not treat old demo footage as a map of the shipped chapter. The Outskirts page is the first-hour briefing for the rebuild, not a 100% walkthrough cloned from last year’s demo.

Soundtrack title Outskirts plus the launch trailer copy are the two first-party namings for the region. VGTimes later headings after an EA-ending claim were not structured here because they lack first-party names. The visor is looking at wreckage you can screenshot, not at a datamined node graph.
